Horse-assisted Coaching Munich
When the mind has long since known
what the body has yet to reveal.

Setting boundaries. Developing a mindset. Connecting with yourself—
before you can put it into words.
Horse-assisted coaching combines systemic work with direct bodily experience. It’s not about riding. It’s about what’s happening inside you—and what a horse reflects back to you.

What you already know in your head – but still don’t put into practice.
Many people who come to me already know quite a lot about themselves. They’re aware of their patterns. They’ve learned that they should set boundaries. They know they say “yes” too often when they really mean “no.” And they’ve resolved to change this many times before.
What’s missing isn’t knowledge. What’s missing is the feeling.
Cognitive insight alone rarely changes behavior that has become ingrained over the years. The mind has good arguments – and yet the body still follows the old path. Because the pattern isn’t in the mind, but deeper: in the way you hold yourself. How much space you take up. Whether your posture matches your words.
A horse answers exactly this question – and does so immediately.
That’s not magic. That’s biology.
What horses see, what humans overlook.
Horses are flight animals. For millions of years, their survival depended on recognizing within a split second whether someone meant what they said. They don’t react to words. They react to body language, to breathing, to the quality of presence – to what is actually there, not to what is portrayed.
This makes them exceptional coaching partners: They provide immediate, unbiased feedback. Without opinion. Without judgment. Without the social politeness that always underlies conversations with people.
If you stand before a horse and feel uncertain inside but mask it on the outside—the horse will back away, hesitate, or keep its distance. If you are truly present, clear about what you want, and this is apparent in your body – it will behave differently.
Why Horses and Boundaries Go So Well Together.
Setting boundaries isn’t just a matter of wording. It’s a matter of inner attitude—and the willingness to acknowledge needs as legitimate.
Those who work on their boundaries through equine-assisted coaching experience three things that are difficult to achieve through conversation alone:
What’s happening inside you becomes immediately apparent.
You don’t have to make anything up, remember anything, or reconstruct things. What you feel shows itself in the here and now – in your posture, in your breathing rhythm, in the way you occupy the space. The horse reacts to this, and you see the reaction in real time.
You can try out what really works.
Not theoretically. Not “I could try it.” But right now, with a living counterpart. What does it mean in your body to truly say no? How does it feel to take up space instead of giving it away? What inner attitude do you need for that – and what obstacle still stands in your way?
The needs behind these actions become tangible.
Often, failing to say “no” isn’t a sign of weakness, but rather an unmet need: for belonging, for recognition, for harmony. Through the horse, what you truly need becomes clear—and together we can explore how you can fulfill that need in a different way, without losing yourself in the process.
How my equine-assisted coaching works.
Horse-assisted coaching takes place at an equestrian center in Poing near Munich – outdoors, without riding, and in direct contact with the horse. An equestrian center is not a place that requires special equipment: You don’t need any experience with horses. No sporting ability is required. Just an openness to whatever emerges.
Before the session
In a preliminary discussion – in person or via Zoom – we’ll clarify your current issue, your context, and what you hope to gain from the session. This step is essential: Your intellectual input provides direction for the activity-based work.
During the session
You’ll work together with a horse in a paddock or free-work setting. I’ll guide you through the process – observing, asking questions, and pausing. What happens is determined by the interaction between you and the horse. My role is to help you articulate and explore what emerges.
After the session
A quick debriefing wraps up the experience. Often, the most important insights aren’t the big moments, but the small ones: the brief hesitation, the straightening up, the moment when something suddenly becomes easier.

I offer horse-assisted coaching as a standalone session or as part of an ongoing coaching process.
Standalone session (approx. 2.5 hours, including pre- and post-session discussions): 415€ (plus VAT)
As part of an ongoing coaching process: by arrangement
For whom is equine-assisted coaching suitable?
This method is particularly effective for people, who
- who find themselves going in circles during conversations and need something new to take their minds off their thoughts,
- who keep falling back into the same patterns—even when they know how things should actually work,
- who feel a disconnect between their inner and outer worlds,
- live in a constant state of tension – and realize that relaxation techniques alone only scratch the surface.
- Or they’re simply curious about what happens when you give your mind a moment’s rest.
For me, equine-assisted coaching is not a substitute for systemic individual coaching – it’s a deepening of it. Some people choose it as a starting point; others as an intensive supplement to an ongoing process. I primarily use equine-assisted coaching as a method within the frameworks of be strong – Self-Confidende and be at peace – Inner Calm & Mental Strength. You can find more about my methodological repertoire in the overview of systemic coaching methods.
Frequently Asked Questions about equine-assisted coaching
Do I need to have experience with horses?
No. Horse-assisted coaching does not require any experience with riding or animals. The focus is not on interacting with the horse, but on what arises within you when you encounter it.
Where does equine-assisted coaching take place?
The sessions take place at an equestrian center in Poing near Munich – outdoors, without riding, and in direct contact with the horse.
How does equine-assisted coaching differ from a coaching session?
In conversation, we rely on our minds – reflection, language, insight. The horse adds another dimension that is difficult to access cognitively: It reacts immediately to body language and presence – and in doing so, reveals what lies between knowledge and intuition.
Can I book a single session without being part of an ongoing coaching program?
Yes. Horse-assisted coaching can be booked as a standalone session. However, it can also be specifically integrated into an existing coaching process – depending on what makes the most sense for you at the moment. During the free Discovery Call, we’ll work together to determine which format is right for you.
