Brainlog im Coaching bei Stress

When Stress Patterns Can’t Be “Thought Away.”

Some issues cannot be resolved logically—especially when you simply “can’t help yourself.” Your body reacts with stress, feeling overwhelmed, or withdrawal, even though you have no cognitive understanding of why. Your mind knows that something should be different—but not how, because the “why” is missing.

Often, the causes of such response patterns run deeper than cognitive approaches alone can grasp. Especially when they originate from early childhood experiences or were shaped by emotionally charged moments, they are beyond conscious access. This is exactly where Brainlog® comes in: with gentle, body-centered methods based on neuroscientific findings

What is Brainlog?

Brainlog® is a method adapted for coaches that is based on modern variations of EMDR, Wingwave, and Brainspotting—approaches that have been used successfully in trauma therapy for years.

Using targeted bilateral stimuli (left-right, visual, auditory, or tactile), we activate your brain’s self-processing mechanisms—similar to what happens during the REM phase of sleep. The amygdala synchronizes the two hemispheres of the brain, and experiences that were previously accessible only as emotional reactions are transferred into chronological memory. This allows you to influence them.

In the bipolar Brainlog, the stress network is also linked to the resource network. This means that the negative experience can no longer be recalled without the positive resources. Coachees often describe it this way: “I still remember the feeling—but it doesn’t affect me anymore.”

The method is surprisingly simple and very effective. Most coachees feel significant relief after just one session—more inner peace, more calmness, more strength.

Brainlog® is used in coaching when a deeper emotional trigger lies behind a current topic – one that isn’t consciously apparent. For example:

  • Stress reactions you can’t explain
  • Self-doubt or paralyzing thoughts, even though you’re actually competent
  • Inner restlessness, sleep problems, or the feeling of “not being quite yourself”
  • The desire to finally feel free—emotionally, mentally, and physically

I also use Brainlog® following traditional belief-based work to anchor a new conviction more deeply and further weaken the old belief.

Brainlog® has its roots in trauma therapy, where it reaches its greatest depth. In coaching, I use it exclusively to address stress patterns, belief systems, and emotional blockages that do not fall within the realm of mental illness. Specifically, this means: In cases of trauma, depression, anxiety disorders, or other psychopathological issues, the method is reserved exclusively for therapists—this is a matter of qualification, responsibility, and your own safety.

If you’re unsure whether your topic belongs in coaching or in the hands of a therapist, we’ll discuss it openly during the initial consultation. If in doubt, I’ll refer you to therapists in my network.

Brainlog® as a No-Obligation Introduction to Coaching

Since Brainlog® usually shows initial results after just one session, it’s also a great way to get started with coaching or to get to know me and my approach. A 1.5-hour session (for €269 plus VAT) includes:

  • Short “chemistry” call: Beforehand, we’ll check whether the topic is suitable for a Brainlog® session and whether we have good chemistry.
  • Focus on the topic: Together, we’ll clarify the issue or pattern you’d like to change.
  • Activation: Through targeted questions or brief visualizations, the emotional reaction is recalled—without causing retraumatization.
  • Stimulation: Bilateral stimuli (visual, auditory, or tactile) stimulate processing in the brain.
  • Integration: The distressing impulse is “rewired” and integrated into a more stable inner experience.

To ensure long-term results, I would still recommend at least a second session after about 4 weeks if you’re satisfied with the process (not mandatory).
